I feel good!

After one and a half year didnt update my blog, there's a lot of improvement in my life. Getting better with a positive mindset :)

Yeah We all learn from mistakes and always pick up something from a lesson. Life still have to go on! And i enjoy every single moment of my life :) Travelling, Knowing new friends, Wine & Dine, Reading, Shopping :)

Had been fliping through my facebook post and read all the history
that I had posted. Realize that I was very unwell, emotional and heart
sick in this one year plus.

Good people came in my life but I just couldn't cope with my inner
self. I think I seriously need to deal with myself.

Sometimes I was thinking that it was very unfair for me to go through
all these at this age. I wanna have a healthy life just like everybody
out there. I wanna have a neutral feeling and not act like a hurt
person.

To improve myself, I will concentrate on my new life.

Learn to leave down all my previous baggages.

Learn to trust people.

Gain my self secure back.

Cope with my emotional problem.

Forget the past, learn from the past, take things positively, take it
as an experience and live in the present!

This seems like an emotional blog for me these days :)

Well, Life's been treating me well enough. Going through different phase of life. And leads me to a different set of ME!

Human beings tend to forget what they have in life, and tends to look for something NEW! What comes around, goes around.

Being too demanding might be a very tough life! Learning to let go, and when things are not according to my plan, i'm learning to stay positive.

Sometimes argument might be unnecessary! And it's better not to care so much and plan for own set of things rather than depending your happiness on someone. To stay silence rather than of being a nonsense.

Moving forward....

Tomorrow will be a brand NEW day for me!

It's time of not behave like a non-sense. It'll be wiser to think of
personal development.

Beauty doesnt only comes from personal appearance, it also comes with
wisdom. The way you present yourself shows a lot of you to others.

Secondly, Sharpening my skills in dealing with difficult people with
high EQ. Emotional intelligence. Often, we always let our emotion to
control our next step. And the actions that we take are often not
wise. Therefore, i m learning to deal with myself especially during
bad days.

OBSERVE what other people do and learn from the good one. I started to
practice this frm 4 yrs ago.

It's time to do some review of myself :)

Had read this book few years ago. I would recommend this book to all the women out there.

Some of the things that I understand from the book : He's just not that into you if he is not calling you, asking you out, not dating you etc. And excuses like stressful day, busy day are all written in this book.

Truth is hurting. However, I always believe that not knowing the truth is more hurting.

Everyone might have a different opinion for WEEKEND. There is no right or wrong but we might define it in our own way.

Weekend for me is a very important day! I will try not to work as much as I can during the weekends. Recently, I got a new job that is based in the hotel. Therefore, I might need to work in some of the weekends.

It is important for us to refresh our mind, to spend some quality time with families, loved one and friends.

Attended JUICE Magazine Birthday Party @ MOS invited by my client. The theme night is Sunnies & Neon Night. It had been a while that I did not attend for any theme event. And it was quite difficult for me to get for some bright colour apparel in my cupboard as I do not have much bright colour apparel in my cupboard except PINK.

Month of July was my Birthday Celebration month. This is a very different year compare to previous year. I had my birthday celebration in Malaysia for this year. However, no French Fine Dining restaurant during my birthday which I was craving for the most after returning back to Malaysia, hence no Foie Gras...

I felt so touched of all the preparation from friends and families around me. Although this year is a very different one, I really appreciate for all the special arrangement being made.

My bestie Dachele, had brought a homemade Chocolate Moist Cake and an eye cream all the way from Miri to KL for my birthday.

My 2 sisters, Lily and Lisa had prepared a barbecue dinner at The Curve with Lisa's favorite Butter Cream Cake.

My room mate cum secondary school mate, Aileen brought me a contact lenses cleanser. And also thanks for the belated bouquet of roses.

And special surprise Birthday Eve dinner, cake and present from my cousins from Australia.

A big THANK YOU to all the special arrangement on my special day. Although it is a different one from last year.

Time really flies... Whatever that I had gone through in my life, I'll try to post it in my blog and to make my life more colourful :)

Had been really busy with work and personal thing after returning back to Malaysia. In the month of June, Went to Singapore for a day to attend my friend's wedding dinner and to Genting Highland with my ex-colleagues, Anna who came to KL from Phnom Penh. Really appreciated the special moment that had spent with her although it was a bit too short.

Was finally sick from end of June till now after my busy schedule in these few months. I'll recover very soon in order to work harder :)

New Workplace, New Colleagues

After returning back to Malaysia, It took me for about 3 weeks to get a new job in KL. Same industry and same position like what I used to do.

First few weeks as a working slave in KL City Centre was not as easy as what I thought especially I had get used of the comfort life at Phnom Penh. Wakes up as early as 6.30am every morning and leave my house at 7.00am to avoid the traffic jam plus my office is just located around KLCC area. I started to enjoy Happy hour with my colleague after work at Pavilion or Changkat Bukit Bintang with Beer as cheap as 10 bucks per bottle.

Had not been updating my blog for about 2 months! Many changes in my life in this year. I'm back in KL for goods and finally settle down and got my new job in KL City Centre. A total change of environment, workplace and lifestyle.

Working life in KL is pretty busy. Therefore, I wouldn't have much time to update my blog like i used to be. I started to miss Cambodia now!

A total change of my lifestyle compare to what i used to have. Meeting up with different friends, new colleagues and a total brand NEW ME!

I enjoyed working at my new workplace, with wonderful colleagues and great boss. But, too much of happy hour for the past few weeks :)

Some of the progress of my life, I lost for about 8kg in the past 2 months. Therefore, too much of shopping for my working attire and leisure wear.

The night after returning back from KK, had a gathering with my friends. We went out a bit late as the rain was so heavy on that night.

It had been a while that I didn't been to Brunei or Seria. After away for so many years from Miri, I'd rather spent more time in Miri and with my family. Managed to go to Brunei from Miri to attend for my cousin sister's baby full moon dinner. The road had improved a lot and took less than an hour to arrive Seria.

A lot of children at the dinner and managed to catch some photos with my nephew and niece. Children are just so cute, simple and innocent. However, taking care of them are not as easy as what I think of :)

The 4 Days 3 Nights trip in KK was really enjoying and didn't really feel like going home or back in the reality of life :) Had so much fun with Aileen and Polly and wondering when we can still gather for our next trip.

Went to Polly's shop and took some photos on the Cream Puffs. The cream puff is not so sweet and taste a bit like ice-cream. I bought 5 boxes back to Miri for my family and Dachele. Pals, Please drop by her stall at 4th Floor, Palm Square, The Kobe Cream Puff.

Ocean Seafood Restaurant, KK

Ocean Seafood Restaurant is located right in the city of Kota Kinabalu. This is my second visit to that restaurant in KK. They used to have a branch in Miri and the environment was so cozy and nice compare to the one in KK.

The seafood at Ocean Restaurant is a bit pricey compare to other local restarant. We ordered for 5 dishes for the three of us. However, couldn't manage to finish all of the dishes.

Day Trip to Kinabalu Park & Poring Spring

We went for a day tour to Kinabalu Park and Poring Spring. The weather was not cold at all and I was wearing a long sleeve with me. I thought it was like Genting Highland or Cameron Highland before going there.

This was my second visit to Kinabalu Park. My first visit was when I was 5 years old. The journey took about 2 and half hours from Kota Kinabalu City. We stopped by at a local souvenir shop halfway to Kinabalu Park. A lot of souvenir items were actually imported from Cambodia and Vietnam. The price is much more expensive than those in Cambodia.

I didn't aware that we were suppose to walk up to the mountain. Therefore, I was wearing high heels with me. It was really challenging to walk up the mountain for an hour journey with a pair of high heels sandals. I was proud of myself of being able to do it :P

Heng Long Restaurant is famous for Ramen and Chinese dumplings. The concept was similar to Dragon-I in KL. However, the taste is not as good as Dragon-I. We had our dinner during the second day at Heng Long Restaurant.

The portion that we ordered was considered a lot for the three of us. We enjoyed a lot on that night.

We went to Manukan Island on the second day. The weather on that day was so hot and I only managed to go down to the beach around 4pm. I was hiding under the shade at most time.

The water at the beach was not that clear as what I thought of. We went for snorkelling but couldn't touch the fishes at all.

Trip to Kota Kinabalu - Day 1

For the month of March and April, I was travelling around with my friends. After my Mulu trip, I went for a short trip with Aileen and her boyfriend and also to meet up with my bestie, Polly. We had not seen each other for a year.

We catched the morning flight on the April Fool's Day. First day was a Free & Easy tour for us. Went to Warisan Square and Palm Square for shopping but couldn't manage to get anything from there. I'll still prefer to shop in KL.

As usual, we'll take a lot of photos for our trip. The photographer for this trip was Aileen :)

Mulu Trip - Day 2

For the second day of Mulu trip, We went to the Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave. Not so much of walking on that day but too much climbing on the staircase made us even more exhausted! We had been convincing each other to walk as we had already pay for our tour :P

We had to ride the motorboat for 45 minutes in order to arrive at the entrance of the cave. The weather was so hot on that day which i had to cover my whole face with my rain coat.

Finally, we had arrived at the entrance of the cave. I look confused and exhausted after seeing the 800 steps staircase.

When we arrived at Wind Cave, we could feel the cold breeze of the wind inside the cave. That's the unique of the cave.

Mulu Trip - Day 1

Finally got the chance to visit Mulu Caves! Every time my colleagues from KL will ask me about Mulu but i had never been there yet. How embarrase am I to be a Sarawakian or Mirian!

During this long holiday, I had planned for a 3 Days 2 Nights trip with my friends from Miri. We went to Deer Cave and Lang Cave for the first day. We felt so exhausted and tired as gonna walk for 2 hours to arrive the cave. The total journey took us around 5 hours. For us who seldom go for exercise was really very tough to complete the journey :)

Along the journey to the cave, we had seen different kind of trees and insects which we were so alarmed on it! Below are some of the pictures taken during the journey.

Yesterday night went for dinner with my family at Dynasty Hotel. The parking was so full that we had to park our car till very far.

Missed those Malaysian Chinese food after being away for so long. Everyone was enjoyed eating during that night while I was not eating that much.

Went to my bestie's place for dinner. It was quite surprising that she could cook on her own. She had prepared 3 dishes for the four of us. Cereal Prawns, Double Boiled Chicken Soup and Vegetables with Oyster Sauce.

Wedding Function in January

This was the last wedding function that i attended in Phnom Penh before returning back to Malaysia. The wedding dinner was held during the weekday. Therefore, I didnt have much time for changing and went straight after work with my colleagues. Everyone dress up nicely. But for the four of us for Phillipines and Malaysia, we were in our working attire.

Violet is one of my college friend in my Hotel Management School. We had known each other for 7 years but had not got much chance to meet each other after we left our college.

We had a great meet up session at Delicious, Mid Valley for dinner. Had read a lot of review for this restaurant but didnt got the chance to dine in it as I was working far away from Malaysia. Every trip I went back to Malaysia was either too rushed or lined up with too many appointments with friends.

I had Minestrone Soup while Violet had Mango Cheese Cake as dinner. We couldn't eat that much on that night as both have our goal...... :)

There isn't much happenings for me in January. Had been reading a lot on that month to improve myself, my thought...

This year is considered as the longest holiday that i had for Chinese New year, about 18 days of Holidays! I was in Australia during the first week of Chinese New year and was back to Miri for 10 days. Every night was a late night for me and also gained a lot of weight on that month :) Therefore, I'm trying to lose some weight now, hopefully can reach my target for losing 10kg of weight :) Enjoyed a lot while in Miri. No need to bother whatever that had happened... Everyday was lined up with lots of activities and lots of freedom as well :)

This post was supposed to be posted in December. Every year, I'll be looking forward for the Christmas and New Year Festival for the countdown party and Christmas Eve Dinner. However, for year 2008 is considered as a very different year for me.No countdown party, no celebrations and no Year end sales festival. That was my first Christmas and New Year at Cambodia.

I was working during the Christmas Eve for the hotel's in house function. Therefore, no special dress up or make up on that night.

Attended my colleague's wedding dinner in December. Every Cambodians will dress up nicely for every wedding function. Unlike in Malaysia, most of the people will just dress up casually. I was regretted that i did not have the chance to wear any of the Cambodian Traditional costume after being one and half year in the country.

This year is the forth consecutive years that I did not celebrate the "Tang Yuen" Festival with my beloved family. This festival is considered as the second biggest festival for the Chinese for family reunion. Although I was away from my family, I prepared for some dishes for dinner which was exactly as what I used to have during my childhood. The taste reminds me a lot of my family :)

There is quite a number of Chinese Community in Cambodia. On that day, we woke up early in the morning to shop for some groceries stuffs. Only found the last packet of Glutinuos Rice Ball in Red Bean flavor. A china man was actually looking at the packet of Glutinuos Rice Ball that we were holding hehe......

Ever wonder how is Cambodian food looks like? It is actually a mixture of Thai and Vietnamese food. However, it is not as spicy as Thai food.

Recently had gone to a local Khmer restaurant for lunch with my colleagues. After being 15 months in this country, I did not really try out the local delicacies. Therefore, this is considered as my first post of Cambodian food.

Fried eggs with salted fish

I am just in love with this dish. The first time I tried this was in Siem Reap. The taste of the salted fish is quite similar as the one in Malaysia. However, the salted fish colour in Cambodia is in red.

Stir fried frogs with Ginger

The frogs meat in Cambodia are much cheaper than Malaysia. This tastes like Chinese food, "KUNG PO THIEN GAI" Tastes good to be served with rice.

I did not try on this dish as the taste was a bit weird! Sour and the fragrance was just too strong for me.

Fish with mango Salad

This dish I like the most among all. The fish was strong with pepper and soy sauce taste. The mango opens up your appetite.

I would still prefer deep fried banana. The texture of the barbecue banana is just too dry and tasteless. It costs at USD0.15 for a stick.

It takes about 2 hours to prepare for Sarawak Black Pepper Chicken as need to steam in low fire for 2 hours. Tastes good, spicy and nice to be served with rice (Preferably Bario Rice)

Chicken Curry is a MUST to serve with Rice.

Anna's Birthday Celebration

This post is about Anna's First Year Birthday Celebration at Phnom Penh. Anna was working midnight shift that evening. After my work at 5pm, we went to pick her up at her hostel to celebrate her big day. Being away from family is not so easy, especially being to a country like Cambodia. No friends, no family and no Life!

We went to La Volpaia Italian Restaurant to celebrate for Anna's Birthday. Bought a Chocolate Cappucino Cake from Raffles Le Royal for her. This restaurant is famous with their pizza and pasta and they also have branches in Tokyo and Seoul. The price is double than those in Malaysia.

We had bun with sprinkle Onions as Appetizer, dipped with some Olive Oil and Vinegar.

This was Anna's first visit to this restaurant. Therefore, we recommended Spaghetti with Squid Ink Sauce for her. The taste was so great but I wasn't brave to order for myself whenever I visit to this restaurant, coz the squid ink will mess up my whole face. hehe...

My apologies for not updating my blog for about 2 weeks. I was busy playing with my new Nintendo DS Lite after work at night, till not enough sleep almost everyday at work.

The game in Nintendo DS Lite just suit to me as the games are those that I played during my childhood, Super Mario Bros, Tetris etc. And the most important thing is it is in PINK. JE had bought WII for me during Chinese New Year but i didnt even play it for more than 5 times. After i got my Nintendo DS Lite from him as Christmas present, I play it everyday.

Have you ever seen this before? This picture was taken on my way back home from work at Phnom Penh City. As you can see from the picture, the traffic in Phnom Penh is so bad that all cars come in different directions. The elephant (as shown in the picture) will be walking from the temple to the roundabout to take shower every evening.

Homemade Vietnamese Coffee

Addicted to drinking coffee recently, but only Vietnamese Coffee. I had posted a few posts previously regarding Vietnamese Coffee. The taste of the coffee is so much stronger than normal coffee, and tastes so nice after adding with some condensed milk.

I made my own Vietnamese Coffee at home after i got my own Coffee Drip and Coffee Powder from Vietnam. And the creamer from Tesco, Malaysia. It is so creamy compare to the other brand.

Hope can drink a cup of Vietnamese Coffee now but It's already 8.40pm at night. I might not be able to sleep for the rest of the night after i drink it. SIGH..........

Those photos were taken during the opening ceremony of the hotel, which was a day before i went back to Malaysia. As you can see, most of my colleagues are from Malaysia and Singapore. Pha 24 is a franchise outlet from Ho Chi Minh who serves for Vietnamese Noodle and Coffee. There is a branch in Phnom Penh which is 5 minutes drive away from my office.

This is my second visit to Pha 24. I ordered for Vietnamese Coffee and Meat Ball Noodle. The coffee was so nice and comparable to the one that i had in Ho Chi Minh. I couldn't drink coffee at all but this coffee was too nice that i had to finish it.

I had a gathering with my ex-colleagues during my trip back to Miri. As usual, We will always meet up whenever I go back to Miri. For this trip, one was missing which is Anna. She is currently working at the same place as me now.

Secret Recipe in Miri is the same franchise as in KL. I used to buy a lot of their cakes when i was working in KL at those days.

As usual, I will order for Apple Kasturi and Chocolate Indulgence at Secret Recipe. We ordered for Chocolate Indulgence and Cappucino Cheese Cake to be shared among 5 of us.

Trip back to Miri

I was back in Miri on the 9-16th November 2008 for a week. A week is actually too short for me. How I wish i could spend more time in Miri with my family and friends.

Everyday was lining up with lots of activities, dinner with family, meeting up with friends and cousins. Been to a few new places and restaurants in Miri like SOHO, Sea Horse 2, Secret Recipe and Mr. Ho's Fine Food. Miri is very different now compared to 5 years ago when i was still in Miri at that time.

SOHO's concept is a bit like those pubs in KL, Irish Pub? However, I dont really like to drink. Therefore, I couldn't stay too long in a pub :)

Just a quick update about my trip back to Miri.

This trip was so relaxed and enjoyed after so many working offdays. Before I went back to Miri, I worked for more than 12 hours everyday for in-house event, cocktail night, setting up of hotel's database.

Trip back home is always good. Ever think of going back to Miri for work in one day. Met up with lots of friends, cousins and ex-colleagues. And it's also good to know that everyone is ok and doing well.

Day 2 @ Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville is all about beaches, snorkelling, sun-bathing, kayaking, water scooter.....

This trip i actually planned to go for snorkelling. The weather spoiled our plan which was not ideal for snorkelling at all as the water was not that clear, no point for us to travel all the way to the island! On the positive side, i decided to take up diving course end of the year!

On the second day, I went to the local market to look at some of the local stuffs. The market was not as big as those at Phnom Penh. Prices are much cheaper than Phnom Penh. Got 2 pair of khaki at only USD3 per pair.

I got this at USD1.50 for the cap. Looks very funny hehe... However, i wouldn't dare to wear it again in future :)

As a usual norms in Sihanoukville, I will have our 3 meals in a day at the restaurant along the beach with a nice beach front view. Feel so relaxed of the seabreeze.

It took about 4 hours by bus from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville. This is my second visit to Sihanoukville. I chose to stay at Beach Bungalow which is located just within vicinity from the beach. It costed at USD35 per night.

Everytime when i went to Sihanoukville I'll never forget to do the threading. This trip i was smarter on the negotiation of the price. The last trip i did for only Half legs threading costed me at USD5 for both half legs. This trip I did for 2 whole legs, 2 hands and face at only USD14. It was so painful but really effective.

Yesterday was a Public Holiday for Cambodia. I met up with Anna for brunch and some shopping at Sorya. She was working in the afternoon shift and we managed to meet up for few hours before she went to work.

We went to KFC for lunch on that day. This is the only KFC opened in Phnom Penh. The Original Recipe and Hot & Spicy are quite similar to those in Malaysia. The Colonel's Meal which can only be found in Cambodia is served with White Rice, which is a bit weird for me. This set comes with 2 pieces of Chicken, 1 mashed potato, a Coke and White Rice.

The Snack Plate and Dinner Plate are also more expensive compare to Malaysia which is at USD3.10 for snack plate and USD3.80 for Dinner Plate. The conversion rate now is at USD1 to RM3.50.

After came back from my Ho Chi Minh trip, I was craving for the Pha Noodle. And i just found out from my colleague that there's a Vietnamese Pha Noodle shop nearby our hotel, around 5 minutes drive. Vietnamese food is easy to find in anywhere in Phnom Penh :)

We decided to go to Pha Noodle shop for lunch. The soup was so tasty and love the taste with mint leave and vegetables.

"No Name" Seafood Restaurant

Friends and family always ask me where I go for dinner, and the answer to them was always NO NAME RESTAURANT. Yes, there's a seafood restaurant called NO NAME RESTAURANT located nearby my apartment. It is owned by Malaysian and the chef is a Singaporean. A lot of Malaysian food can be found there like Hokien Mee, Fish Head Noodle etc. The food is not so pricey at only average of USD15 for 2 persons.

I will definitely be a regular guests at NO NAME RESTAURANT!!!

I managed to spend both nights with Anna when she arrived at Phnom Penh. After that, Couldn't really have much chance to meet up with her as she's working on shift while my working hours is 9 to 5. She'll be in the midnight shift for the next few more days.

However, we had so much fun together at Phnom Penh. During the 2nd night, i prepared for some homecooked dinner for Anna at my apartment. After dinner, we brought her to nearby weekend Flea Market, things there were really cheap. A Cambodian Silk Scarf only cost at USD2 per piece. T-shirt at only USD3 at each.

After that, i treated her for SUPPER, The deep fried insects. At first, Anna felt quite reluctant to eat it. We kept on convincing her to try else we wouldnt send her back to her hostel LOL. How cruel are we! hehe.....

After having the first bite of Deep Fried Spider (It is called AH BING in Cambodia), Anna loved the taste so much that she wanted to feed me on the leg. I was so scared that i ran away from her. :) She told us that it tasted like Chicken Skin.

Anna's First Night Dinner @ Phnom Penh

My home town friend, Anna had accepted the job offer at my workplace and came to Phnom Penh last Saturday. We studied at the same secondary school and used to work at the same hotel in Miri. It was just like a dream! I'd never think of any of my friend would come to Phnom Penh. Nothing can be more joyful than this :)

On the first day upon Anna's arrival, I brought her to one of the biggest shopping mall in Phnom Penh to shop for some groceries items, basic stuffs like Sim Card etc.

After that, We went for dinner at the Cambodian Food Restaurant. Overall, food was great at that night especially the Tom Yam Seafood and Pork Amok (Cambodian Curry). Everyone of us had consumed 2 plates of rice on that day. It's also great to hear from Anna that Phnom Penh is much better than what she thought of.

After that, we actually planned to bring Anna for some Supper, "Deep Fried Spider". Unfortunately, all the stalls were already closed.

I'll be having more chance to see Anna in future and cherish every moment spending together.

It's time for me to update the food that i prepared for dinner for the weekend. There it goes..... Although some of the food doesn't look that great, I'm trying my best to explore new recipe and review it from time to time.

My New Recipe~ Braised Chicken with Dark Soya Sauce. It tastes sweet, Love it and plan to cook for the second time. It tastes like Cha Siew.

There it goes! I'd strongly recommend Dasolve to explore this area for more food hunt. Hehe.....

Chu Chi Tunnel @ Vietnam

I went to Chu Chi Tunnel which is an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City. Chu Chi Tunnel used to be a hiding place for the Vietnamese during the American War. The tunnel was so small that the people had to hide inside during the war. Life during the war was not as easy as what we think. They only had potatoes dipped with Peanut everyday as their meal to fight against the enemies.

The 3 days stay in Ho Chi Minh was actually not enough! How I wish I can travel there again!

I was away to Ho Chi Minh City during the long Holidays of Pchum Benh festival. This is my second most enjoyable holiday after Bangkok. Ho Chi Minh City is a very developed city, things and foods are quite expensive compare to Phnom Penh, although we spent USD in Phnom Penh and Local currency in Vietnam.

The food in Vietnam was so good! I had tried all the different varieties of their local food. The famous Beef / Chicken Noodle Soup and the local coffee was so great! The coffee taste was so strong and taste like the KOPIKO candy. I had already missed the different varieties of “Pha Wrap”, like Chinese dumplings. It looks and tastes good. Other food such as Mini Oysters, Spring Rolls, Soft Shell Crabs and the tasty soup with beef intestines.

We went for a City Tour on the second day. Passed through a lot of tourist attractions like Post Office, Notre Dome which is the French Colonial Building and the War Museum.

Trip from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh

This is my first trip to Ho Chi Minh City and also considered one of the longest bus journey that i had so far. The journey from Phnom Penh City to Ho Chi Minh City took about 8 hours by road. The journey was actually quite interesting as we could see the cultures and also past through a few of the countryside and the border of Cambodia and Vietnam before we reached Ho Chi Minh City. The bus fare was quite reasonable at only USD14 per way.

Along the Journey

The bus that i took to Ho Chi Minh was attached with a washroom for the convenience for the passengers. However, for those who was sitting at the back row might have to suffer from the bad smell.

Along the journey, i had seen some cars sitting for more than 10 persons in a Saloon car and some carrying with tons of luggages. I found it very interesting and had taken a few pictures to be posted in my blog. Not only that, we also saw some people sitting on top of the car with some of the luggages.

Gone through a ferry from Cambodia Border to the border of Vietnam. It took for 1 hour of queeue as that day was a public holiday and many cars were actually going to Vietnam. You can also see different sellers selling food items, VCD along the journey, like the sellers along Miri-Baram Ferry.

Arrived Ho Chi Minh City at 3.00pm on that day. Feel exhausted after the long journey and long queeue in the custom and Ferry. After the 8 hours journey, we decided to travel back to Phnom Penh by air instead of land. I will never travel to Ho Chi Minh again by land.

This will be a long week of holidays for Cambodia! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be Pchum Benh Holiday. I'll be away to Ho Chi Minh from tomorrow onwards! Feel so excited about it!

We had a farewell lunch for our Director Of Sales at the Chinese Restaurant of Intercontinental Hotel. The Dim Sum buffet was at USD15.00 per person and the quality of the food was not bad, quite similar to the Dim Sum in Malaysia. Lastly, our group photo session. Wished him all the best in everything!

Although I'm pretty busy with work recently. I still manage to prepare for dinner everyday after work.

During mooncake festival, I decided to prepare something which i'd always had for special occasion during my childhood. It reminds me of my childhood and I definitely miss those Hakka Delicacies. That's what we had for mooncake festival, Chicken Drumsticks - Normally most of the people will use the whole chicken, I used chicken drumstick only as we prefer drumstick meat :) I used the leftover chicken soup to boil for some vegetables (It reminds me of my dad) and some steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce (My Own Recipe).

This was the first time for me to join for Makanmaniacs gathering at Ming's Cafe. I feel so excited to meet up with all of them after chatting with them for so many months. We had not even seen each other before this. Not all of them attended for this gathering. Dasolve, Hui Lee, Pink Eclipse, Stratos, Kimgo were all there! However, Couldnt meet up with Florence, Jerry, TeamGD, Angelina, Cacatkia etc...

Overall, the food was nice!

I'll definitely join for the next gathering when i'm back in town! Hope can meet up with more people in the next gathering.
